Rachel has worked as an interactive designer and consultant for universities, companies such as Ford and Hewlett Packard, arts and community organisations, working independently, through her previous work as a Research Fellow at Horizon Digital Economy and as part of her previous work with Active Ingredient and Mudlark. Her expertise is in creating ethical and responsible data experiences, that combine tangible, emotional, embedded and embodied design with scientific and technical expertise. She is passionate about co-creating and investigating creative solutions to wicked problems – finding new ways to think about interdisciplinarity, sustainability, environment and climate change, and the future.
Rachel is interested in future work developing toolkits and courses for schools, universities, research institutions and policy makers.
