Rachel was a co-founder of the award winning Mudlark Productions. Her role was Co-Director and Creative Manager, which involved successful pitches to Channel 4’s 4IP scheme and developing a series of convergence media and games products and services. She co-facilitated the initial workshop with the RSC that led to the development of the world renowned first Twitter play, Such Tweet Sorrow (nominated for the British Television Awards) and co-designed the initial concept for Chromaroma, a transport game developed with TFL for London’s public transport system. After she left the company to focus on her PhD, Rachel continued to work with Mudlark as an independent consultant and advisor, including working on a mobile game to educate people about climate change, Cold Sun, a collaboration with Mudlark and Lancaster University as part of the Creative Exchange programme (2013).
