Rituals and Robots at Primary Open
Drop In Workshop at Primary Studios, Studio A11
33 Seely Road, Nottingham NG7 1NU
10am – 1pm
The artist/researcher Rachel Jacobs is inviting people to join her around the table in her studio at Primary, to think together about what we need to thrive in the future. There will be teas, coffee, seasonal fruit and cake, alongside playful and friendly opportunities to share ideas, make things, and think creatively and imaginatively together, responding to a series of questions about the impacts of climate and environmental change and digital technology. The drop in workshop has been designed as a unique artist-led activity that combines storytelling, myth and ritual with clay, textiles and thinking about sustainable technology and small robotics. For more information about the Rituals and Robots project click here.
Drop in at any time between 10am-1pm, although seats at the table are limited to 8 at a time. All are welcome, children under 14 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
This drop in session is part of the Primary Open event, where Primary’s residents and members will open their studios to the public, offering a behind the scenes look at their creative practices and transforming Primary Open into a vibrant, community led exchange of ideas. The event celebrates the diverse range of artistic approaches within the Primary community. Click below for more information.
