Rachel conducted workshops in Finsbury Park in London, at the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Contemporary and in Cambridge to explore what a Future Machine might involve as part of the participatory process of building the Future Machine.  The results of this process were recorded as a video and exhibited at Furtherfield Gallery in Finsbury Park, in 2019 before the Future Machine was built and launched in the park later in the year.

These workshops were commissioned by Furtherfield and co-funded with support from the Arts Council of England National Lottery Project Funding.

These workshops were co-facilitated with Prof Esther Eidinow, Dominic Price from the University of Nottingham, Prof John King from the British Antarctic Survey, Juliet Robson, Caroline Locke, Matt Watkins and Wallace Heim.
