www.hello-tree.com is now live

May 10th, 2011

Our new website www.hello-tree.com is now live.  This is the home of our latest artwork ‘A Conversation Between Trees’ which is opening on Saturday 14th May at Fineshade Woods, Northamptonshire, commissioned by Fermynwoods Contemporary Art.  The exhibition will on until Thursday 26th May.  Come and visit us in the woods.

Welcome to a forest that spans time and location… from the temperate north to the tropical south. The story of this forest will be revealed through a set of clues, generated as a series of data maps, leaving traces of a conversation between trees in Brazil and the UK, and our presence in the forest.

Take a journey through the forest to discover the invisible forces at play, where the air speaks as you travel through time and space – to reveal a story of 150 years of climate and environmental change.  The story of this forest will be revealed through a set of clues, generated as a series of data maps, leaving traces of a conversation between trees in Brazil and the UK, and our presence in the forest.

UK Government Sell Off of Forests

February 2nd, 2011

Active Ingredient are currently developing our new project ‘A Conversation Between Trees’ in forests in the UK and Brazil and will be starting a tour in May 2011.  In the meantime the British Government has just released a public consultation about the possibilities of selling off these public forests in England, and the future of the forestry commission.  More information is available here:  http://www.forestry.gov.uk/england-pfeconsultation#how

This is an opportunity to be involved in the public consultation and have your say about the future of our forests.
