climate fortunes

2014 has started with a bang in Active Ingredient’s studio. Firstly a letter came through from the Arts Council England confirming funding for Rachel’s latest artwork ‘The Prediction Machine’ which will be exhibited at Radar, Loughborough University Arts in October 2014.

If you live in and around Loughborough you can take part in the project – more information can be found on the BLOG about the project:

Rachel has also won the Nottingham University EPSRC Doctoral Impact Award as a result of her PhD exploring how artists are engaging the public with climate data, she passed her VIVA (and so can now be called Dr) and has began a part time Impact fellowship at Horizon Digital Economy Research Hub and the Mixed Reality Lab, University of Nottingham as a result of all this.

Meanwhile Active Ingredient ( are starting work putting together a project that reviews and revisits their portfolio of work from 1996 – 2011. This will result in an exhibition and a series of activities that explores interactive and digital art in the context of the 1990s and 2000s, exploring how a critical perspective on art that is digital might look in the future. So Keep Watching this space as these exciting new ventures develop…
